Institute of Biomedical Engineering & Technology

Introduction

The journey of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering & Technology began in March 2006, when it was first established as a specialized repair workshop under the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad. While its initial role was to provide technical assistance to public sector hospitals, it soon became clear that Sindh required a more robust solution to its biomedical challenges.

To address this, the university transformed the facility into a full-scale academic institute in March 2009 and The first batch of BS Biomedical Engineering was started in 2012. The vision was simple yet powerful: to bridge the gap between practical technical skills and academic theory. By synthesizing these two pillars, we have created a platform that produces not only expert technicians but also visionary technologists capable of driving the future of biomedical engineering.
