SCOPE & CARRERS FOR FORENSIC SCIENTISTS

Forensic Science deals with preservation and analysis of scientific evidence collected from the crime scene for the investigation purposes. Experts of forensic science visit the crime scene immediately for collecting the scientific evidences, and then they analyze the collected evidences in forensic labs. Forensic Science has close relation with Basic Medical Sciences, Law/ Criminology, Chemistry,  Information Technology  & Physics. Although it has close connection with law and investigation but basically it is a kind of applied medical science. Forensic expert must have good knowledge about the local criminal laws. Police, investigation and law enforcement agencies cannot go forward in many criminal cases without the help of forensic scientists.

The scope of forensic science in Pakistan is very high because of the high ratio of criminal activities. We need professional forensic scientists in order to investigate truly and collect original evidence. Our police departments are not able to investigate well because it must require some professional forensic officer to investigate and collect true evidence of criminal activity.
