Introduction

The Department of Cardiology at Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS) is one of the leading tertiary care cardiac centers in Sindh, providing comprehensive diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic cardiac services. The department plays a vital role in patient care, undergraduate and postgraduate education, and clinical research.

Equipped with modern cardiac diagnostic and treatment facilities, the department manages a high volume of patients with cardiovascular diseases, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, congenital heart conditions, and cardiac emergencies. Academic & Training Role

The department actively participates in undergraduate MBBS teaching and postgraduate training programs, including FCPS Interventional Cardiology, FCPS Cardiology, MD Cardiology, Dip Card and other recognized residency programs. Regular academic activities such as case presentations, journal clubs, workshops, and CME programs are conducted to maintain high educational standards.
