The Department of Anaesthesiology of Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences consists of a team of qualified medical specialists, with great clinical experience in anaesthesia.
A variety of excellent clinical teaching, research and training opportunities are provided by the Department of Anaesthesiology to undergraduate students of basic MBBS/BDS courses and also to postgraduate medical scholars interested in pursuing the discipline.
A number of postgraduate scholars of MS and Diploma courses of Surgery & Allied Sciences complete their rotation in Department of Anesthesiology each year. Rotations emphasize the introduction of basic as well as advance concepts in anaesthesiology.
Additionally the faculty members of the department provide their expertise by providing guidance and training to Medical Officers & Anaesthetists of the affiliated hospital Liaquat University Hospital Hyderabad/Jamshoro.
The faculty members also provide clinical services and full emergency cover in all the operation theaters of Obstetrics/Gynaecology, Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Neurosurgery, Otorhinolaryngology, Cardiac surgery, Paediatric surgery, Oral & maxillofacial surgery and Causality of the affiliated hospital. The department have standard for professional delivery of compassionate patient care which emphasizes patient safety and operational efficiency.
The anaesthesiology department also provides service to the operation theater of Minimal Invasive Surgery Center of the University. |
