ANNOUNCEMENT

1. NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON ‘BIOTECHNOLOGY FOR ECONOMIC PROSPERITY’ JULY 24-26, 2006, AT NAITHIAGALI.

The National Commission an Biotechnology is holding National Symposium on applications of biotechnology in agriculture, health, and environment on 24-25, July, 2006 at Greens Hotel, Nathiagali.

The Health Biotechnology includes:

Molecular Disease Diagnosis
Recombinant vaccines.
Application of Biotechnology in Genetic and metabolic Disorders.
Chloroplast Biotechnology for Biopharming.

Boarding / lodging and local transportation from Islamabad Air Port to Greens Hotel, Nathiagali and back to Islamabad will be paid by NCB.

2. NOTIFICATION

The immediate attention of all postgraduate trainees registered with CPSP are invited to the PMDC Notification No. PF.8-F-2004 (Council)/4965 dated 6th April, 2005. The contents of which are reproduced below.
     According to PM&DC Ordinance 1962 all postgraduate students admitted to a Medical & Dental institute or University are required to be registered with Pakistan Medical & Dental Council. The Council in its session held on 4th & 5th December, 2005 has decided to register all postgraduate trainee students of Medical & Dentistry., who had been enrolled and will be enrolled in future in various institutions for obtaining additional postgraduate qualifications.
     The PMDC has also decided that in further all additional postgraduate qualification will only be registered by PMDC of those doctors, who had been registered by PMDC as postgraduate students of recognized institutions by PMDC.
     Accordingly, all CPSP postgraduate trainees advised to fill in the registration from, which can be downloaded from the website of CPSP (www.cpsp.edu.pk). Forms are also available at CPSP Head Office, Karachi and its Regional Centers throughout the country, Photo copies of the form are also acceptable. The fully completed form in all respect sent to RTMC at CPSP Head Office, Karachi.The College will forward the form along with the required registration fee to PMDC. The registration fee will be paid by the College of Physician on behalf of all the trainees to financially ease them.
