Notice is hereby given that an emergent condolence meeting of the Academic Council of Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, Jamshoro will be held on Thursday the 31st May 2012 at 9:00 AM in the New Academic Council Hall at the Academic Block of this University, to condemn the incident of cruel killing of our renowned Neurosurgeon Shaheed Prof. Dr. Aftab Ahmed Qureshi. WEDNESDAY, MAY 30, 2012 NOTIFICATION It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that due to Shahadat of Prof. Dr. Aftab Ahmed Qureshi, Chairman, Department of Neurosurgery, LUMHS, Jamshoro, the Election to fill-up vacancy regarding "TWO MEMBERS OF THE SENATE TO BE ELECTED BY THE SENATE" on the University Syndicate is hereby postponed and will be held on Thursday the 07-06-2012, instead of 31-05-2012. WEDNESDAY, MAY 30, 2012 NOTIFICATION It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro will remain closed on Wednesday 30th May 2012 due to the Shahadat of Prof. Aftab Ahmed Qureshi. All examinations which were scheduled on 30-05-2012 are hereby postponed and new dates of examinations will be announced later on. This issues with the approval by the Vice-Chancellor. MR. WEDNESDAY, MAY 30, 2012 CONDOLENCE The Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the teaching faculty, students and other employees of this university has expressed deep sorrow and offered condolence on the sad demise of Shaheed Prof. Aftab Ahmed Qureshi, Professor (BPS-21)/Chairman, Department of Neurosurgery of this University on 30-05-2012. FRIDAY, MAY 11, 2012 NOTIFICATION As per announcement of the decision taken by the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan during the Energy Conference held at Lahore on 9th April, 2012, in pursuance of Government of Sindh, Services General Administration & Co-ordination Department Notification No. CTC(SGA&CD) 3(27)/09 dated 3rd May, 2012, it is hereby notified for information of all concerned that Liaquat University of Medical &. Health Sciences, Jamshoro will observe five days working week. The following office timing will be observed with effect from 14th May, 2012, till further orders. 1. ADMINISTRATION All working Days (Monday to Friday) From 8.00 a.m. to 3.15 p.m. 2. TEACHING FACULTY All working Days (Monday to Friday) From 8.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. Note:- On Friday from 1.15 to 2.00 p.m. is Prayer Break. The Clinical Faculty Members will perform duty on Saturdays in Wards / OPDI Operation Theaters as per their Duty Roster on Rotation Basis, as usual. One Faculty Member shall remain on duty in their Wards in both emergency and non-emergency. The Radiology and Diagnostic & Research Labs will continue to provide 24 hours services as usual. The concerned Deans are requested to submit the Rota.9f their Faculty for ~ their respective Wards at the earliest. These issues with the approval by the Vice-Chancellor. MR.
